I’m not saying I’m perfect, but I have this little voice in my head reminding me that everyone deserves chances. They may fuck up, but hey, we all do!
People change. Time goes on. We experience different things, meet new people, develop new interests… The person you were a year ago isn’t the person you are now, and judging people on what they used to be instead of who they are now is pointless, since they’re judging a whole different person, essentially.
But some people are irredeemable, however those are the murderers, dictators, etc. Not your average person online.
It’s like Sunset Shimmer and Tirek in MLP. Tirek is a monster and he can’t be changed, because he’s just so evil. But Sunset Shimmer is misguided and has different morals. Same with Starlight Glimmer. Both of them had different mindsets than our heroes.
And they improved! They got better and happier and became whole new people! Er, ponies!
