In my opinion, I don’t think Undertale deserves to win. I love the game to bits, but I think there are better games out there deserving of winning.
I’m still salty it beat out Fallout 3. That game is amazing. It has the same tearjerker factor that Undertale has, but it has much more content and atmosphere and more to offer, and I think it’s better when it comes to immersion.
Gameplay is a tossup for me. I’m always a slut for RPGs, but Undertale’s bullet hell is quite fun.
