have you considered: seeing one of the few positively portrayed lesbian characters being paired with a man who clearly makes her uncomfortable does hurt people? specifically, lesbians?
since we have to deal with being pressured to be with men irl, constantly, it’s not exactly comforting to see it happening to our representation as well.
